As an artist, I'm always aware of whatever is around me that might make a great painting.

And as I was walking out from eating breakfast at the Absolute Bakery and Cafe in Mancos, Colorado...there was this wonderful red leaf, sitting on the road in all its glory. It screamed "Paint me!!". So I grabbed it. There is simply beauty to be painted in something so little. 

And it wasn't as easy as it might look. It took careful time, getting the details correct, plus the right colors There you go.
