1800's TRAIN WATER TANK, Colorado alcohol ink (print)
I have always been mesmerized by this.
In Colorado, this old 1800's water tank tower was built around the same time as the train trestle I've painted (two versions)--all part of the old Galloping Goose train!
It's also called the "water stop", as it represents where trains would stop to add water to the boiler, which might occur every 10 miles or less in the early years, and then 100 - 150 miles later when the train pulled a tender.
This painting took time, details and patience.
All of Janie Bow's stunning prints are based on ink paintings--a very challenging medium that she masters. You will see various sizes, and as you click on a size, the price will change. No, the Inner Spirit Designs you see on any picture will not be on your print. Be sure and read the Information and Questions section for answers to many questions!
